In my opinion, burnout is not the result of overwork but the withdrawal of recognition for performance. The areas work, social affairs, relationship are here in intrction. A decrease in recognition in one of these areas therefore often leads to a decrease in the other areas as well. Associated with a decrease in self-esteem. Which in turn leads to an acceleration of the vicious circle.
